They also grow wheat, hay and milo.<br /><br />Kansas is the perfect place for sunflowers and it is the state flower. They consider sunflowers one of their major crops as well as those listed for Nebraska.<br /><br />I was surprised by that as well. A lot of flat farming land but it does have some interesting parts as well. A lot of history here in relationship to the westard expansion of America. Tomorrow I am going to give a couple of stories about the guts it took to move out here before it was settled.
